STRI trial results
The Operation Pollinator programme for golf has been developed from trials by the Sports Turf Research Institute (STRI) at Bingley in Yorkshire and on commercial golf course trials.
The trials at Bingley have shown that the use of Rescue and Primo Maxx can make a significant difference in successfully establishing wildflowers (below) and reducing the effect of the invasive coarse grass, Yorkshire Fog (below). Rescue delivers the biggest single beneficial effect in the trials.
Used together in the programme, the combination of Rescue AND Primo Maxx delivers faster initial results and further enhancements in the second year of the project.
